Green Laver or Sea Lettuce ( Ulva Lactic)
A great source of vegetable protein, contains an abundance of potassium, iron, magnesium, calcium and iodine, along with bioactive compounds that have been shown to counteract free radicals. Ulva extracts were also found to activate an enzymic pathway leading to increased glutathione production.

Like Spirulina, Laver contains natural photosynthetic pigments that give its vibrant green colour. It has a high concentration of a-chlorophyll, b-chlorophyll, xantophylls, lutein, beta and gamma carotene, siphonxantine and siphonine. Chrlophyll can protect heathy cells and body tissue by increasing phase II biotransformation enzymes. These promote optimal liver health and therefore the body’s natural elimination of potentially harmful toxins.

Laver is also extremely rich in Vitamin A, in the form of beta carotene & gamma carotene, compounds that have been shown to significantly reduce the risks of cataracts and macular degeneration.
